Human Factors for Ground Operations Course

Aligned to the latest requirements of IATA AHM 1110 with two levels available, HF-01 and HF-02.

Introduction

How we interact with our relatives, freinds, colleagues and equipment can affect our attitude and behaviour at work, possibly resulting in incidents and, in some cases, accidents in the workplace. Studies have shown that injuries and fatalties can be reduced through optimising human performance and improved equipment.

This is a training course aimed specifically for those who work within the Ground Operations and Ground Handling areas focussing on behaviour in the workplace in respect of the environmental, organisational and job factors as well as human and individual characteristics which influence behaviour at work, and which can also affect health and safety.

The course is aligned to the latest requirements of IATA AHM 1110 with two levels available, HF-01 and HF-02.

The duration of this course is either one half day (HF-01) or one whole day (HF-02).

1. Why is it important?

Training and better understanding of the human factors concepts helps to develop competent professionals who can make a real and lasting improvement to safety performance through the application of skills and knowledge.
